Joining its 2018 VW Atlas sibling, the 2018 Tiguan was named as the best compact crossover SUV currently on the market by Cars.com. According to a press release from Volkswagen, the 2018 VW Tiguan caught the website’s editors’ eyes by offering a unique mix of inherent value, functionality and an incredible array of technology, benefiting drivers as well as passengers. A few weeks ago, the Spizter Volkswagen Blog brought readers the news that the automaker is planning to no longer sell the VW Touareg in the United States following the 2017 model year. In the short time the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas has been available at Spitzer VW, the all-new three-row crossover SUV has been very popular with new and returning customers. People have had high expectations for the first VW model that was designed and produced in the United States. Even more attention has been heaped on the new Atlas thanks to the first of what will likely be many awards won by the vehicle. A top automotive industry website, Wards Autos, has named the new 2018 Atlas to its list of 10 Best User Experiences for Smart, Safe, Connected Vehicles. What does the VW Digital Cockpit display do?
There is no doubt that the 2018 Volkswagen Atlas has taken the existing crossover SUV market by storm. The all-new three-row vehicle is the first VW model to be designed in America and be specifically built to American tastes and needs. Among the most exciting additions to the available equipment of the new Atlas is the Volkswagen Digital Cockpit. Instead of having analog dials and gauges, the center cluster has been replaced by a large LCD screen. In addition to a digital speedometer and tachometer, there is also a space for loading one of four storable profiles, navigation information or a slew of other items. Is Volkswagen making a 2018 Touareg?
The upcoming model year of Volkswagen SUVs will be missing a beloved member. 2017 will be the last year of production for the VW Touareg, at least in the United States. According to a post on leading automotive website, AutoBlog, the automaker has chosen to cancel the Touareg, but has left the possibility open of adding a new crossover SUV to the lineup.
