2019 Volkswagen Arteon vs. 2018 Honda Accord
When the all-new Volkswagen Areton arrives in the Spitzer VW showroom, it will have to contend with several models in one of the most competitive segments in the global automotive industry. From the outset, the team developing the new sedan wanted to build something different that will make future buyers excited to drive. The product experts working at Spitzer VW have instantly recognized the new car's potential since it was officially unveiled to American audiences at the beginning of 2018. A comparison of the 2019 Volkswagen Arteon vs. 2018 Honda Accord will quickly show just how advanced the new VW fastback sedan is.
Among the first things a first-time observer of the 2019 VW Arteon will notice, is the new vehicle's sporty, if not athletic, stance on the road. While the new Arteon has four-doors like the 2018 Honda Accord, it would be easy to assume these two cars are not in the same class. The dramatic roof rake of the 2019 Arteon gives the new car a decidedly sleek look that has been lacking in this segment of the automotive industry. Honda has been praised for years for the generous interior dimensions of the popular Accord. The 2019 VW Arteon will easily be able to rival that perception. Drivers and passengers topping 6 feet tall will have no problems being comfortable in any seat.

Volkswagen didn't cut any corners when it came time to choose the right powertrain for the 2019 VW Arteon. When the 2019 Arteon arrives in the Spitzer VW showroom, a turbocharged, 2.0-liter, four-cylinder engine will be under the hood and it will be attached to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The standard drivetrain is front-wheel-drive; however, the automaker's 4Motion® all-wheel-drive system is available as an option any trim. The 2019 Arteon will be one of the few sedans in its class that will be able to outperform the 2018 Accord at any level. The Volkswagen sedan makes 268 horsepower and 158 pound-feet of torque. Entry-level versions of the 2018 Honda Accord use a turbocharged, four-cylinder engine of its own, topping out at 192 horsepower. Even the popular sedan's top-of-the-line powertrain cannot match the performance produced by the 2019 VW Arteon.
The all-new 2019 VW Arteon is expected to start arriving in the Spitzer Volkswagen showroom during the summer of 2018.
